Takayama to Kyoto

Written on: Thursday February 4th, 2010

A journal entry from: Japan 2010

This morning Jack was still recovering from having a fever the night before. So, before having to catch a train to Kyoto, I went out early to walk along Teramachi, where there are several temples. I was the only person walking along there. And for the first time in three days, the sun had come out, so I could see all the temples' snow slowly melting.

We caught the train around midday to Nagoya, then changing for Kyoto. While looking for snacks to take on the train, I found a 690Y shogi set at a convenience store at Takayama. The train ride was nice, watching all the snowy mountains and trees go by.
