I don't know what this is, but it looks cool

Entrance to the Meiji Shrine

Us with the sake barrels used to consecrate the shrine

French wines (donated by wineries) also used to consecrate the shrine

Shinto wedding procession

This pole is worn from people throwing coins from the back of the crowd into the donation boxes at the front of the shrine

Wishes left by visitors, a lot of the english language ones make for interesting reading (aka laughing at losers). There seemed to be a 50/50 split between "Everything's good in my life, best wishes for my loved ones" vs "I don't know what I'm doing with my life" and "I want this, this, and this other highly unlikely event to happen". Some people can take a big picture view or are well-balanced, other people obviously aren't.

Shinto bride being helped into a car. The car's roof even opens so that the bride's head can fit in properly.
