Written on: Wednesday February 27th, 2008

A journal entry from: Round the World in 172 days . . .

Hi Guys!

We heard about the Earthquake from Karl just after 1am this morning (UK time). Sounds like pretty big news. Just wanted to make sure you're all ok and none of you have been affected by it?

That's all folks . . . oh and thanks for the messages (especially to the particularly loyal readers, you know who you are!) We will try and write emails personally back to you, it's just it takes so long to write the blog and download the photos it dosn't leave us with much time, or cash! ;-)

Loads of love xxx

I just left a message on the wrong page, you had written two more after that - Doh! Anyway lovely people, did you both get bitten by the mozzies they usually go for one person, and James looks like the type they'd like to get their teeth into. As for the flies, you are so right about the spiders, clearly they're not doing their job which makes their existence pretty pointless. No earthquake here although when farm vehicles and lorries go past our house it shakes, does that count? Keep up the great journalism. Love to you both xxx

Had no sign of earthquake here, but friends in Lincoln said it shook their bed, and their lights went on & off. Not nice! Don't bother with seperate E-Mails your journals tells all, and we don't want you to use money where you needn't. You are keeping us well informed, and we are enjoying every minute (or not as the case might be) with you. Take care LOTS of love XXXX

I didn't lie about the earthquaike, promise, I thought the house was going to fall on my head. Well initially I actually thought aliens had landed on the roof and were coming to take me away. SO when I realised it was just a quake I was a bit sad. I've always wanted to fly in a UFO. Anyway glad you're both still having fun and if I dont speak to you before have a great time travelling up the west coast. x

Karl.Earthquake son,are you sure !.Thats not that Norfolk real ale called Terra Firma Trembler, you was on that night is it ?.Straight up though.Coincidence or what !.I was actually abducted by aliens that night and you know me when aliens take liberties.Needless to say, no sooner had they set course for planet cregdrak,i grabbed the gyrascope directional homing modulator and tried to crash land back on earth.Just missing Norfolk, skimmed accross the ocean by cromer and kings lyn and crash landed in Lincolnshire.Left the aliens knocked out and thumbed a lift back home down the A1.By the time i got home,i had to get straight back to work.Just to put the record straight obviously.Sorry for any spelling or punctuation mistakes, but i was left a bit shaken ,as you can imagine. What do you mean, what about the mistakes before you were abducted.Cheeky lot you are.Had you forgotten about my childhood abduction.Knocked my promising genius academic future career right out the window.Tut,what short memories.Love you all.Zibwabwib.XXXX
