Dunedin - no we're not in Scotland!

Written on: Thursday February 7th, 2008

A journal entry from: Round the World in 172 days . . .

It was a four hour drive to Dunedin from Queenstown and when we arrived we had a walk round the city, which was huge - it's got a massive population (well for NZ anyway!) as there's a big uni here. It wasn't the best place we've vistied though, apart from the Octagon (like a square in most cities, but this one is shaped like an octogan!) which had a lively buzz and there was some kind of festival going on. We didn't really do anything else here as the campsite was so lovely and our budget is being drained with this campervan - just a tip to any of you thinking of doing this - stay in hostels and use public transport or hire a cheap car! Far better!
