A journal entry from: New Zealand
Dunedin is a student town and we arrived in time for the towns winter festival, although we didnt get to see too much of it. There was a little parade and then a band playing. We hung around for a bit of that and then went to an Irish pub to watch England getting trounced by the All Blacks (again!). Then onto another little pub which had teapots of cocktails, lovely! We'd an early start the nest day and first place on the itinery was the worlds steepest street. The photos don't really do it justice, it is really, really steep! I tried to run up a bit but gave up, Kev, however powered on though, he was regretting it afterwards and was very quiet ont he bus for the next hour! Our next stop were the Moeraki boulders. Check out the pics they look very strange, there is some explanation for them being there but to be honest we forget to read it when we were in the cafe as we were tucking into a huge breakfast! Well I was, Kev was looking at me! Afterwards we continued onto Mt. Cook and Lake Tepako.
