We arrived into greymouth after long day on the bus and seen some amazing scenery on the way here. We passed through some fog covered mountains to get to the west coast and emerged into a spectacular day with great views all along the many beaches of the west coast. We visited a seal colony and seen the amazing pancakes rocks of Punakaiki-check out the photos, they're really strange looking and no one knows why they formed like that.

We got into Greymouth and had a little time to get our beer faces ready for a tour of the local brewery called Montieths. The tour itself was really interesting and we got to see each stage of the brewing process not to mention the free sampling of their seven beers at the end to round of the evening. At one point the tour guide left the bar and said we could help ourselves! and that we did :)
