Uno cafe

A journal entry from: Europe 2011

Last day in Sorrento, was going to take the bus to Ravello, I,ve heard the hair-raising drive is worth it, but the bus drivers are striking today. So instead I,ve walked around Sorrento, alleys with merchants and outdoor restaurants with cramped tables. Cant think of any funny stories to report. It is just so "italian" here! The double cheek kiss, church bells ringing, espresso at a counter, old men sitting in the piazza chatting or playing cards, women in high heels walking on cobblestone. I,ve never claimed to be a fashion maven but I,m also no slouch but gosh these ladies make me look like a tomboy!
