A journal entry from: Adriatic to Amsterdam

You know a trip is bound to be good when it starts like this:

Croatia declares flood emergency after torrential rains 02/06/2010 ZAGREB, Croatia -- Torrential rains triggered flooding in the eastern area of Slavonski Brod, prompting authorities to declare an emergency situation Tuesday (June 1st). Residents of the most endangered villages in Slavonia and Baranja were evacuated. Some roads are under water after rivers swamped their banks. Minister of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management Bozidar Pankretic visited the area and pledged government help. Damage to agriculture alone is estimated at more than 27m euros. But we're so bloody excited that it doesn't even matter. T-minus 15 minutes to driving to Prince George. Sunday's weather forecast in Dubrovnik: Sunny, 24 C . . . and FLOODED. Sickest.
