Tip 1 of our TipTrip: Ao Leuk, Ko Tao

Written on: Tuesday November 27th, 2007

A journal entry from: See you next year!

After recovering from our jet lag in Bangkok, the last part of our trip could finally begin. But where to start? In South-America we didn't have any guide books about this part of the world with us, and in Amsterdam we had been quite busy, so we had basically done no research at all. Roy knew something about South-East Asia, but most information I had were the tips that were given us, by friends or fellow travellers. So, after maybe checking a little bit about the background of the tip, why not just follow them?

So that's how we ended up in Ao Leuk, the quietest of the beaches on Ko Tao, and with the best name of course. Tipgever (informer): Janke. Thanks. it was a nice place to start (not counting the snorkeling boats with hundreds of tourists arriving in the morning, spoiling our quiet, little beach. Grhhh).

Have a nice adventure un Asia! A friend told me that he could swim with dolfins (not organized), just wait until they come to play with you. May be you should ask around... Besos y abrazos.
