Kanchanaburi

Written on: Friday February 1st, 2008

Our last field trip was a 3 day trip to Kanchanaburi. We visited the War Cemetary, the bridge over the River Kwai, a tiger temple, the largest pagoda in Thailand, and, my personal favorite, Erawan National Park, which contains 7 incredible waterfalls (plus a bunch of smaller pools and waterfalls) that you can swim in. It is like nature's ultimate waterpark. It was absolutely amazing! We swam in the waterfalls and were even able to go under and behind! It was a great time!

So I'm really jealous that you can wear shorts and tank tops, while I'm up here in long underwear, a ridiculous coat and a massive scarf. But hey, I'm surviving the Russian winter. I hope you continue to have an amazing time!
