A journal entry from: Boom Festival 2008 & Western Europe
Although I don't mind flying, being in one spot for more than 4 hours is not really my thing. But alas, my flight to London is a direct flight lasting a good 8.5 hours. Good thing it was a redeye, so I just spent much of it sleeping. When I couldn't sleep, I tried to watch the feature onboard movie, 'Vantage Point'. The plane was completely packed so I was really glad when we finally touched down so I could stretch my legs.
After quickly collecting my checked travelpack, I took a bus transfer from Gatwick airport to Heathrow airport since my connecting flight leaves from there tommorow. I checked into a hotel for the night to enjoy a hot meal and shower, eagerly awaiting flying to Lisbon. All in all, a succesful first day. The weather today was perfect, not too hot, not too cold. The same can't be said of Lisbon however, as it looks to be +30 or more for the next fews days there. Now I'm just dealing with the time zone change. Oh well, who needs sleep?
