Departure Excitement

Written on: Friday December 26th, 2008

A journal entry from: Nuovo Anno

In the very nick of time my passport has arrived.  Looks like we really are going to Italy after all.  If you have not already heard the gory details, let me spare you: I lost my old passport and got a new one in record time.  Thanks All American Passports!

HJAIA (Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport) was it usual busy self.  DB and I noted that the E concourse, used for International traffic, was far nicer than the other 5 concourses.  It was like its own airport.  They even had a pianist sitting in the lobby playing music. The plan is to fly from Atlanta (ATL) to Newark (EWR) on Delta (DAL), then pick up a Continental (COA) across the pond to Italy (ITA) and land in Milan (MXP).  So far, so good.  See you in Newark.
