A journal entry from: Fort Lauderdale / Mexico / Miami

ok so..

on the 14th my girlfriend, her parents, and myself get all packed up and start our drive to calgary. At this time im feeling some mad gut rot ( may have been the week old, cold pizza hut ) and im not so super stoked. But by the time we get to chicken on a stick county (coleman alberta) im feeling like my immune system has battled off the rotten pizza and i am good to go. We finally get to calgary and chill there for the rest of the day. Wake up call at 5 the next day. Once on the plane to montreal i am feeling pretty jittery. Heights are definitely not my strong point and turbulence is definitely not my fetish. So im pretty tired but i just cant sleep, too much adrenaline from the flight.

After a 3 hour wait in Montreal we finally get on our plane to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and my flying paings are finally subsiding.

For any of you who have ever flown to somewhere much more near the equator than Cranbrook you will know that the air is like a brick wall. So thick and hot. But after a few hours in florida i am ready to go for dinner. After about 20 minutes of walking through the ghetto that we would call home for the next few days we get to this restaurant called Flanigans, and it looks more like the community crack house but we give it a try regardless. Needless to say the old saying "dont judge a book by its cover"  is entirely applicable to everyday life. We ended up having one of the best meals on the trip (im not going to lie, dolphin is one of the best things ive ever tasted) and we are ready to go for the next day.

Over the next few days we embarked on a few different adventures including the Miami Zoo, and all you can eat sushi (soooooooo good) and this part of the trip was one of my favorites.
