12716 kms: Queretaro, A Unesco World Heritage Site

Written on: Friday May 30th, 2008

A journal entry from: North America in our Camper Van!

We decided to make a stop in the city of Queretaro because it is a Unesco World Heritage site. The only campground in the city was actually a hotel with a few RV plug-ins and they wanted twenty-five dollars a night. Needless to say we decided to only stay one night. In the evening we strolled over to the city plaza and were impressed with the swarms of Mexican families out for a Sunday evening stroll. We sat and listened to a Mariachi band in another small plaza and eventually hit an Irish brewpub for a few beers before heading back to crash.
