4482 kms: Catavina

Written on: Sunday March 2nd, 2008

A journal entry from: North America in our Camper Van!

After a first night on a cliff overlooking the ocean, and a second night playing in Sand Dunes, it only seemed fitting to spend our third night in the desert among cacti and giant boulders. Tonight we are sleeping in the Parque National del Desierto Central de Baja California near a small village at the entrance to the Park called Catavina.  We went for a hike and were impressed by the huge scattered granite rocks, exotic looking plants and trees- straight out of a Dr Seuss book.

Rob seems to have improved our overheating situation, he bled the radiator, removed the front grill and cut off an overlapping piece of the bug screen. The improved air circulation over the radiator seems to make a significant difference.
