A journal entry from: World Tour 2008

What to write about Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam?

- Noisy
- Very Noisy
- Motorbikes
- Pollution

But a great place to experience the real vietnamese culture.

I'm staying with a vietnamese family 10 km outside the center and sharing room with two brothers. They are an extremely hospitable family and my friend Duong takes me around everywhere in Hanoi. He has shown me all different kinds of vietnamese food. And there are a lot of different kind of dishes! And all the important museums and temples in Hanoi. I went to see the worshipped Ho Chi Minh in his mausoleum. He died around 30 years ago but they keep his body intact with help from russian experts. He was the one who made Vietnam an independent communist-country, so everyone loves him here.

But the best thing in Hanoi is the extremely friendly family of Duong who takes care of me.
