Day 13 - Today We Took A Bite Of The Big Apple

Written on: Wednesday September 10th, 2008

A journal entry from: My Cross Country Train Adventure

This morning we took a lengthy tour of New York City; we saw tons of amazing land marks like the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Wall Street and of course Times Square. It was neat to see these famous locations that we often find on TV or in the movies. Ground Zero was very emotional, as the area was preparing for rememberance services the following day (Sept 11th). After our tour we had dinner at the Ellen's Stardust Diner, famous for it's singing waiters and waitresses. Later we took a night tour that look us to Grand Central Terminal, and I checked out the Whispering Wall. In addition we headed back to Brooklyn to view that Manhattan skyline at night. This was a very busy day, and we were all exhausted. Tomorrow: Yankee Stadium Tour & A Broadway Show.
