Roma - Pisa - Firenze

Written on: Friday May 9th, 2008

A journal entry from: Around the World in 80 Days!

Hey everybody,

Well, our first trip on the train went smoothly.  We left Rome early and took the train to Pisa.  It was cool because we had one of the little cabins all to ourselves.  Our stop in Pisa wasn't a long one... just enough time to get over to the leaning tower, take a few pictures, eat lunch, and get back on the train.

From Pisa we went to Firenze (Florence) and checked into our hostel, probably the nicest one we've stayed in to date.  We wish we had more time to stay in Florence but it's off to Venice today.  Yesterday afternoon we spent what little time we had walking around the city and browsing through a few of the local markets.  The city is gorgeous.  It's very small and tucked into the hills making for a very picturesque setting.

Looking forward to the canals of Venice, talk again soon.

How very romantic that you had a train cabin to yourselves! Did a weird European come in with no pants and snuggle up to Matt saying "me scuzy" ?!?! HAHA I LOVE Eurotrip! Have fun and enjoy the scenery. Miss you guys so much! Be safe!
