Trout Trout Trout

Written on: Monday May 14th, 2007

A journal entry from: Terrace, BC

Today was the first day that I have felt the sun's warmth. Previous days when the sun came out from behind its cloud hiding spots, it only made me feel less cold. But today, with no clouds in the sky, I finally discovered that there can be warmth up here.

We went to the Lakelse Lake after dinner to go trout fishing. John, Berta, and I drove out to the lake to meat Dean and Berta's little brother Charlie with the boat. The lake was glass calm and made me wish I had my wakeboard. We drove to where the lake drained into the river and started fishing. The first cast Charlie caught a fish, and then so did Dean. Within minutes we had all caught some small trout. We kept on catching fish till about 9, when we had to go back home because it was past Charlie's bedtime. It is still complete daylight at 9pm so its weird to think that it could be past anyone's bedtime....
