Lovely update; it really does seem relaxing. Winter seems to be done with (dare I say it), green shoots are pushing their way through the soil and the pussy willows are appearing. Our umbrellas are well used these days though. Thinking of you! Best, Marianne & Co.

Interesting to see the Mekong from Laos - nicer colour than Saigon :). How about we all go to Laos and build a school with windows for the kids? That might be good for them and us??? Keep us posted - nice narrative too. xoxo Sharon B.

Those look awesome from the great WHITE north. B & R returned from S.Af. Wed and R & J are due back next week. We just watch all the comings and goings for now - loving the vicarious adventure. 'Went to Rob & Ruth's new place in a timber baron's estate. So cool - booking us all in next Dec for a Xmas adventure and ordering snow. Keep us up to date - love it and you. Sharon B.

Have been enjoying your updates with pictures. The food looks so delicious as do the drinks. Were in Seattle for the weekend, RS Travel Talks on Sat., and a brief snowstorm in Seattle today (Sun.) Around freezing now on the West Coast. Best to you both and C & B when you see them. Keep posting, we enjoy reading!

Ya, we've got snow . just a bit so far. It's bright and crisp, so it's ok by me!!! Love the pics. Wan across the street came over with some mail from the Mayo clinic to you. I'm assuming it's nothing to worry about. so he'll keep it till you return. Have fun,. Barb

Hi you two - you sure have had a good run at life and living these past many months!Hard to believe you will be home in just another two weeks! I'm doing o.k.- managing to keep busy which helps. Have had an amazing stretch of weather, which of course is deserved after the not so wonderful spring. Haven't seen much of the kids (yours) so I guess all is well over there. Rhana has wandered over a few times for a little visit and a nibble of Digby's food if possible! See you soon. Barb

Were you anywhere near Presov or Giraltovce in Slovakia. That is where my mother's family is from. We visited there in the late 60's and it was pretty primitive. The picture of the woman(14) looks a lot like some of the relatives we met there.

Whoa, bring on the exotic! I DID do the Grouse Grind today in 70 mins. I'd even have been glad to be rolling around in that fiberglass ball - in Hungary. Thanks for keeping our lives exciting! Ray is setting up shop in Calgary: buying computers, blackberry, lumber, etc. (life N.A. style) and...apparently it was 6 degrees last night and the furnace, there, actually kicked in. Keep going, guys, you are in the right place. xo Sharon
