Wow, I just had a flash e-mail from your parents that connected to your blog and just spent the last while browsing. It looks fantastic: more beautiful than I'd expect in some ways and the food looks wonderful and quite primitive in others. You look like you have a great team and are having a very good time. The job of vetting Judges who have been sitting for years must be a somewhat daunting task. Wow. Congratulations for 'living the dream', Clea! xoxo Sharon B.

What fun! How interesting to read about your work, your life in Nairobi and some travels. I visited friends in Kenya over 30 years ago, it was so worth it. Your entries are fascinating. Keep healthy.

Oh, in response to qusneiots: Yes, Lindsay and I both moved up here, she works as a lifeguard at the pool.As for how long I'll stay.. Well, unless I lose my job or there is some kind of family emergency back home, it could be a few years. It seems there are dozens of reporters who come up here, gain a little experience and leave immediately afterwards; it's a revolving door of new grads.I also hear many stories of how tough journalism jobs can be down south, working in cubicles, competing against hundreds of applicants, earning low salaries, etc.) I mean how many journalism jobs provide free housing and a company car for travels?
