A journal entry from: Europe 2012

What a change! From our last accommodation, a three bedroom villa with private pool, in Thailand to our humble 150 square foot studio loft in Paris. From nighttime lows of 28c to day time highs of 12c. Oh well it is Paris and as wonderful as ever, especially in the off season with fewer tourists and more Parisiens. Although the weather has been somewhat blustery we have been out for long walks every day. Our studio is very well located in the Marais which is in the heart of Paris. A stone's throw from Notre Dame and L'îsle de la cité. It's great to be able to shop for great cheese and delicious bread and to consume them with wine. A pleasure we had missed in A.E. Asia. We have been to a couple of museums and went to a really good play in a theatre near the Opéra. Tomorrow we embark on the next stage of our journey by taking the train to Amsterdam to pick up our van.

Hi Bev and Larry, Great to have a place in the Marais. It's fun to see a bit of the old city! I went to a French patisserie on Broadway but I think it misses je ne sais quoi. Enjoy the day and Amsterdam is also pas mal!
