The Lake District and The Cotswolds Photos

Misty but beautiful in the mountains of the Lake District.

If we had brought a lunch we could have climbed Scafell Pike as the weather had cleared.

The vistas were awesome!

Apparently these stone steps were helicoptered in! How about that for public works?

This guy has made it his mission to fly over all 214 Wainwrights (the highest pikes in the district) . Since January he has done 190!

Tea and Scones in Ambleside.

Their Ambleside is slightly different than ours. Those buildings are built to last.

Even the cycle path bridges are one lane.

The Beatles came to Stratford on Avon and we saw them.

The Ernest Wilson gardens in Chipping Camden. He collected plants and flowers all over the world in the early 20th century.

The market place in Chipping Camden (since replaced by Tesco on the outskirts of town)

Crowds like you would not believe in Burton-on-the-Water.

A little quieter in Stow-in-the-Wold

This is the first time we were able to eat outside of the van in a campground in a month!
