Rocks from a quarry that were meant to be used in the building of Osaka castle. Some of them didn't get shipped in time to be used - they're called "zannen-ishi" which translates as something like "too bad rocks"

These two boats mimic a painting in the musuem that I liked - it was strange to look down and see this sitting on a random beach just a little while after seeing the painting.
