Shiga: Ibuki Mountain

Mount Ibuki is located on the border of Shiga and Gifu prefectures. With a height of 1,377m it is the tallest mountain in Shiga.

There is a hiking trail, small road, ski lift and ski trails along the side. It is considered a less challenging climb but I agree with someone else online who gave it a 3/5 rating in difficulty. It is steep and each section of the mountain has different conditions. From steep mud trails through the forest, to steep grass fields around the middle and steep rocky areas at the top. (The multiple use of steep is intentional. :)  ) Though two other climbers had no problems and scaled it pretty quickly.
