Yazd

A journal entry from: London to Beijing overland!!

We drove all day from Esfahan to Yazd and got in late so we had only a few hours to try and see some of the sights before dark.  Russ and I headed off for the mosque and then found a local guy who took us to a lookout point over the city and showed us the traditional doors where the men and women have different knockers - so the people inside know what sex needs to answer the door.

We headed out to a traditional resturant and had a camel stew, which was ok, but a bit chewy.  We had a great room to ourselves and I think it was our last bit of luxury for what turned into a few weeks.
