Rio de Janeiro - Good Old England

A journal entry from: Round the world

Yes, we're home ... just a few months early! Philippa's mum was very surprised (in a happy way) to see us - we walked in and said hi as she was on the phone to her friend Fred and she told him she had to call him back later, it was really funny!

It is strange to be home but kind of cool... there were several reasons we came back and we're sure we made the right decision! The plan now is to work hard, pay off some travelling debts and then SAVE SAVE SAVE so we can go off on more adventures ... :)

Treacle would not speak to us for a few hours but now he is our best friend again so that is all good, we took him to the pub last night so we are forgiven for going away!

We shall be in touch with everyone soon to say hi, hello and how do you do but first we need to spend a day (at least) clearing out our bedroom so we can actually sleep on the bed - seriously!

Love and hugs,
Philippa & Conrad
xxxx

P.S. HOW COOL DOES THE GOOGLE MAP THING LOOK???!!! Wahoo!

Hello Conrand and Philippa. Those are awesome pictures and travel journals. I am so happy for you that you made it home safely. Boy what adventure stories and pictures you will have to tell and show your children (when you have them ). I travelled down to Monterrey Mexico two weeks ago on June 19th with my wife and kids to celebrate my father-in-law's 75th birthday. It was a blast but it was also very hot down there. It was about 115 degrees F. (about 45 degrees C. ) and luckily we planned ahead and took our own portable air-conditioning window unit to cool down the guest bedroom where we spent the week. Boy was that bedroom a popular spot with all of the 10 or so little cousins who somehow managed to convince their moms (My wife's sisters )that they could stay in our cold room to sleep for the the whole week that we were there. God bless the both of you and keep in touch. Happy 4th of July from Henrique in Dallas, Texas.
