We came via Kampot on our way back to Phnom Penh to visit the mountain top ghost town of Bokor. Once home to a casino and King Sihnaouk's holiday residence and now a set of dilapidated old buildings... cool. Like an excited boy I took great pleasure in exploring the many rooms of the old casino and navigating my way up and down the broken staircases.

The only downer on the day was the fact I needed to take a dump for most of it, but alas the only toilet that was available in Bokor was the surrounding fields and jungle areas, which I didn't really fancy. At one point I was tempted to use one of the old rooms of the Casino, but that wouldn't have been fair on the next visitors to see a pile of my mess, so I didn't.

The journey up and down the mountain was a right pain in the arse as well. It took a couple of hours up and the same on the way down over a single lane bumpy dirt track that had once been a proper road and subsequently torn up by the Khmer Rouge. This didn't help my toilet situation.

Eventually we arrived in Kampot (which itself was pretty boring) where we stayed one night before heading off to Phonem Penh in the morning.... not before I had used the loo that is.
