Saigon

Written on: Tuesday December 11th, 2007

Our final stop in Vietnam was Ho Chi Minh City although pretty much all Vietnamese still call it Saigon, so I am too.

Saigon was bigger and busier than the capital, and full of people in your face trying to sell to you, even when you're at the back of a restaurant eating breakfast. In fact I think that describes Saigon perfectly - in your face.

Not to say that I didn't like it though, but there is only so much you can take. So I was happy to only stay here a couple of days, see some famous historical buildings that were involved in the American war, do an excursion to see more VC tunnels, and then move on to Cambodia.
