Coral Bay

A journal entry from: Around The World Without A Plane

After a morning spent swimming with the fishes once more we set off south once again on the relatively short drive down to the resort town of Coral Bay at the southern end of the Ningaloo Reef. Again a beautiful stretch of coastline, but far more developed than up at Cape Range, with its caravan and camping parks, luxury beachside properties and tour agents selling trips out to the reef along with a wealth of watersport opportunities. If we'd have had a bit longer I would have headed out and done a few dives, especially as this is the main spot to go out and see the giant manta rays, but missing out on this provides me with the perfect excuse to head back to this part of the world at some other stage in the future.
