A journal entry from: Kuala Lumpur
What a difference a day makes! I am not going to write a very long entry, just want to say that everyone at my job was extremely friendly and are trying to find resources for me to find an apartment. I feel very comfortable with my assignment, and they might take me to a conference in Singapore! I am getting better at pronouncing street names. I got completely soaked in the rain today, everyone was laughing, and so was I. Found some nice people to buy a towel and a t shirt from who let me change in the backroom of their store and also found an outlet converter! Got lost on the way to work but found a taxi driver who helped me. Will elaborate on all of this when I have had some food and sleep (so tomorrow maybe?) Also saw a billboard for an anti-aging pill made out of ovine placenta. Sorry there aren't any pictures, I just don't feel comfortable enough yet wipping out my camera. There is definitely people trying to take advantage.
xoxo

Glad things are going well!! When are good times to call? Like when are you off work? I keep thinking of calling you at around 8am here... It's a 12 hour difference, right?

Clara! I miss you so much but I'm glad you're doing well! Found an interesting article in the NYT that you might find useful, or at the very least amusing: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/31/opinion/31kristof.html?_r=1&em

I figured it would turn out that way but until I knew I was a little uneas y. So this is good news. I've been looking at images of KL and it looks like quite the modern city. Anil says it is very nice, and that people from India like to vacation there. Has the other girl arrived yet? I'm so proud of you. You'll never be the same you know.
