Run for the boarder.

A journal entry from: Camping Mexico

We are in Mazatlan right now at a camp-site we stayed in the day after taking the ferry over from La Paz back in December. The weather is cooler now than it was when we were first here and the wind is up (unfortunately there are no waves so I am indifferent to kiteboarding at the moment).

We spent the last two weeks traveling up the Pacific coast surfing and sunning. The last five nights we stayed in one of our favorite towns, Sayulita.

Over the next 3 days we will be doing long drives heading north to Nogales where we will cross over into the USA and start a very different portion of our trip. Pheonix, Grand Canyon, Lake Mead, Las Vegas will be the first of many locations for us.

No photos to go with this entry as our camera died while we were visiting the Monarchs however I will replace it when we are in the USA prior to our major sights.

We hit an unmarked "Tope" just north of Manzanillo and have not been getting the mileage we have on the rest of the trip. I will have to look into see if anything has been effected.

Hey guys, thanks for the comment on our blog! Other than the fact that we are stopping in Tepoztlan to do some Woofing and in San Cristobal to volunteer with indigenous groups, the route is almost the same. Would really like to ask you a few Q's about some of the specific roads you took... would you be willing to get in touch via email? michellestcyr@gmail.com Enjoy the rest of your trip!
