Back in Calgary

Written on: Saturday June 2nd, 2007

Well, my trip has come to an end after five weeks of travel.  It is bittersweet.  I love Canada, and there are so many reasons that I am glad to be home, but the trip was extraordinary.

Yesterday was a long day, which started with my flight from Stavanger to the London Heathrow Airport, and finished with my plane landing a half hour early in Calgary.  Needless to say, it was an early night to bed last night!

I have memories from this trip that will last a lifetime, and this is only the first of many trips.  And well I seen some beautiful places, the highlights were the friends that I made and the interactions with all the people who helped me along my journey.  I sincerely appreciate everyone who followed the blog.  I was so touched by all of the comments, and the interest in my trip!

Even though I have returned to my fairly normal life in Calgary, I hope you will all keep in touch.

Hi Loni, I just checked your blog and relieved that got home safe and sound. I was wondering so and it was nice of you to let us know you are home - well back in Calgary anyway. Wow, what a trip you had! Please - just one more picture of you having an ice cream cone - they must have ice cream in Calgary.
