A journal entry from: Japan Blitz

Walked to Ueno station. It was quite a big station lots of ppl. Bought some sushi\bread for lunch. Weren't too comfortable with eating food on the train (I don't think we're allowed) so quickly ate on station. Did you know ure not allowed to call or talk to ppl on the mobile whilst on the train? And no eating? Smoking is also prohibited WHILE walking (there's a sign on the pavement). That's Japan for you! No wonder everything and everywhere's so clean! Boarded a train to Ikekuburo to see the worlds longest escalator in the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space. It was long but i think ive seen longer in hk. hmmz... ill take pictures to compare later. Anywayz, went upstairs saw some exhibit based on textiles/fashion.... lots and lots of wigs, weird wacko hairstyles; drawings of ppl, ugly models and fashion. Interesting!!!! One note, the ppl who greeted us, just sat there. It was so quiet, no talking. And we just nodded when we walked out thats it. We wonder if they ever get bored of their job. Cat needed to check internet so we went to this BIG internet cafe - it had 8 levels or something. Paid like 300 yen for 60min... It was really nice. Each station was in one little cubicle. Inside the cubicle was a computer and some MANGA books and a chair. Outside the cubicles in the common area were magazines and more manga books... soooo good.... Yeh didn't stay for long, not gonna spend time on net while on holidays man.. thats sad! Did I tell you we all made a pact not to use Facebook whilst on the trip haha. NO FACEBOOK! So then we quickly went into Tobu (one of 2 of tokyos largest department stores). Bottom few levels were designer boutiques, only looked around the women section. I bought a jacket, and they wrapped it up nicely for me. Quickly went down to meet Derrian but he got lost.
