A journal entry from: Japan Blitz
Good night sleep in capsule. Checked out at 10am. But decided to go down to Asakusa for breakkie at Starbucks. Got a muffin and coffeee... then had like 45min to spare so walked through the famous Kaminarimon Gate and walked along Nakamise Street where they sold lots of jap souveniers like keyrings, yutakas, fans, snacks etc. At the end of the street, is the Sensoji Temple. So many goodies. Me and mimi each bought a pair of thick framed glasses. UV protection transparent sunnies sugoi!!! hahaha
Didn't actually have time to go down to see the temple. You have to go through all the stalls to reach the big temple. But i went down anywayz and quickly got some pictures of the temple and 5 storey pagoda. Took pictures in front of the street, lots of jap girls were doing it how funny.
Checked out of capsule hotel and had to go through the back doors into this lift to go down. Then trekked to the station to our next hotel in Yushima - Hotel Edoya. Yes there were so many train lines but once you understand how it works, its really easy. All you need is a train map, and it:ll be no problem. Trains are so frequent you wait max 5min if you miss it. You buy tickets by looking on the map how much it is to that particular station and then you pay the money. Some stations you gotta change trains. We trekked down to that station and to our disappointment, there were no lifts so we had to drag our luggage down again. I got the heaviest bag (surprise surprise) so derrian was nice enough to carry it down for me. =)
