A journal entry from: Black Tusk Hike
We had originally thought this hike was a 5 hour, 15km hike. The hiking guide I have alluded to the fact you could do it from Taylor Meadows, a camping ground. It also made it seem like you could drive there, but after a little internet investigation/planning, it turned you had to hike there to.
We considered changing our hike destination as it had just doubled in size (30km), tripled in vertical gain (2km), and doubled time (10 hours), but we're stubborn and decided to do it anyways.
We got up around 6am, and had done most of the prep the night before. After making some bagels and such, we took off driving towards Squamish for the 1½ hour drive.
We arrived without incident, got our gear on, and set out up the trailhead.

Hey Bryon, The site is great mate, has proved a great way for me to keep up my writing while on my big trip and also to allow family to know where I am. Cheers.
