Taipei

A journal entry from: South East Asia 2005

We had a short stop over in Taipei on our way to Bangkok.

After the 15+ hour flight, it was nice to be able to walk around for a bit. I was surprised though, inbetween the airport runways there is a golf course. So we're taxing down the road in this giant airplane and I look out the window and there are people playing golf on the small strips of grass inbetween runways. It was a crazy sight, but very inventive and a great use of space I suppose. I wonder what the penalty stroke for hitting a jumbo jet is?

Anyways, we didn't have much time to do anything. We walked around the airport which had a cool orchid exhibit, but all we really did was smoke delicious Marlboro Lights, which we don't get in Canada, and hang out.
