Day 5: Mall of America & Culvers

Written on: Sunday March 15th, 2009

A journal entry from: Minneapolis, MN

Today was the last full day in Minneapolis! First thing we did today was go to get food at Chipotle. It's a mexican food place. I had the biggest burrito in my life there. It was good, but I've had better. Then we went to Mall of America. All I can say is WOW!! That place is huge and there is too many people!! There is an amusement park in the center and lego land and 4 floors! I went to Origins and had a make-up makeover. I never wear makeup and so I wanted to get some and they were awesome, because they showed me how to do it and what to use, etc. I ended up buying everything she used so I could do it at home!! Amy and I also had an awesome smootie shake. I asked her if she'd die because it's healthy and she said ya and the cashier cracked up. Fun times!! I got lost a few times but a few hours of that and I was exhausted!

We promised Amy's brother Josh we would go to Culvers at some point for the famous icecream. So off we went to meet him for Culvers. I had a butter burger, which tastes the same to me as a regular burger...what IS the difference? Then ice cream! Wow, vanilla was awesome!! I still can't find anything like that...close but just not the same....yum!!

Anyway, at Culvers Amy lost it because she said we were making fun of her and we weren't. We were all just having a good time and basically talking about how Amy got us lost because she doesnt' know how to use buses because she is so dependent on her brother for it. Then she made fun of me because of a ton and well it all got out of hand. Anyway, so we were supposed to go into my hotel pool and spa and Amy refused and basically say "f u" and so it was Josh and I. Hotel closed pool due to someone dropping glass in it, so it was Josh and me in the hot tub and we had a great time talking. He is gay so he questioned my a lot about God and how church feels about gays and such. It was great convo. The night ended with some free chocolate chip cookies from the hotel (fresh and warm) and some milk. YUM!
