I rocked into Pai from Chiang Mai this past Monday after a long bus ride full of breakneck turns and frequent tipping of the bus to the point that I thought it would tumble off the side of the mountain road. This is the way in mountainous Thailand, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. I had no idea what to expect from Pai, except that I heard it was chilled out place to catch your breath. It is the best town in Thailand I have been to. Such a good vibe, live music everywhere, every night, tons of fun people both foreign and Thai. The other night we bar hopped the town and wrapped it up by taking a late night ride in the back of some random Thai guy's pick up through town with about 12 other people in the back. It was hilarious. I have decided to chill out here for a while, before heading north to Laos.

I went River rafting through the jungle over the past 2 days. We visited some hot springs and some crazy waterfalls. I was hoping to see a SE Asian Tiger, but alas no.  I rented a scooter the other day with my friend Jason and we ripped all over the country side. It is quite scary how fast you can get those things moving when you floor it, and the crazy Thai drivers make scooter riding a precarious but extremely fun activity. Anyways I think it is about time for a Beer Chang. hope all is well. Taker easy.
