Hue, Viet Nam

A journal entry from: South-East Asia, 2007

Having taken the sleeper bus from Hanoi we arrived in Hue around 7am and had until 2pm to wait for our connection to Hoi-An during which we decided to take a tour of the city.  Our brief time here was enjoyable and Hue seems to be quite a lovely place worth exploring more.  Oh well, next time!!

As well as viewing the downtown area, the tour took us out of the city to some of the old, incredibly ornate emperors' tombs in the surrounding, very lush and green countryside.  It was most worthwhile and a great way to spend our waiting time.  And then we caught the afternoon bus right through Danang and on to Hoi-An.
