Alan and I decided that we should take another road trip this summer, and driving down the west coast seemed like an excellent idea (it was!) We left Vancouver in my car with a trunk full of skimboards, camping gear, clothes, a stack of CDs, and a map of the west coast. Let the adventure begin!
Indonesia Summer 2006

June-August 2006 I lived in Surabaya, Indonesia, interning at The Maple Leaf School, an elementary school that follows Canadian curriculum. Indo is great! Surabaya was an interesting place, waaaay different from anywhere I've ever been, with 0 tourists, and almost no English. However, I had been wanting a culture shock, and I did indeed get one. While in Indo, I took trips to Bali, the Gili Islands, two short stops in Hong Kong, and a few days in Singapore. Everyone should go to Indo!
