Too much to tell. For now IŽll fill you in with the important, critical stuff, by means of video and typing with both hands. One of which is my newly freed likkle right arm.... a little skinny wreck

IŽll start with what happened to ME yesterday.
...
I was in the hospital to take off my cast, I had been there for three and a half hours and I had only just gotten the xray and of course, lots of different pieces of useless paper..
I still had to see the doctor and in front of me were throngs of anxious wounded people in. Mario (my friend from Horizons unlimited) arrived and we decided it would be better to take the Xray I had and to go to a local clinic.
I was expecting ... "Sure whip it off and off u go, your fine" ....OR.. "Not such a good idea to take it off, but you can if you want to".
...
What the doctor said to me was a big shock. "You should have had surgery, not a cast!"
To better see what the damage was he needed to take off the cast and see what movement I had in my arm and to get a better quality Xray without the cast. They took off the cast with what seemed to be a sort of torture saw which just felt wrong, but that's the way they do it.. The movement, to him looked good, but to me it wasn't satisfactory. I still had a pain in my elbow when my thumb was twisted. Xray was closed and I have to wait till Monday to see what the Xray says..
.....More delays and more money. FINGERS CROSSED, SAY PRAYERS FOR ME. SEND ME GOOD VIBES .. etc etc....
...
On the upside on the very day that it my fate seemed to change for the worse, Peadar's got better. We are a bad-luck tag team duo. He was granted a visa for the states but there are some bureaucratic hoops for him to jump through first, so hopefully in a few weeks he should be back in San Fran.
...
I will update the blog again in a few days but for now all I can do is strech out my arm, exercise it a bit and wait for MONDAY.

Yo Steve, just been catching up on the progress, the videos are a fab idea, its the lazy mans reading! I like. Mexico next, and most of your border crossings are out of the way. Impressed you made it to the town with the broken arm, and the bike while a little more battered still looks like when I left yourself and Peadar in Chile. Good luck with the rest of the trip, and I will keep following your adventures. Kev www.kevfoley.com :)
