Akihabara

Written on: Thursday September 27th, 2007

A journal entry from: Allison is in Japan!

This is Akihabara, Tokyo's worldfamous Electronic Town, where you can find alllll sorts of electronic gizmos and gadgets, especially computer parts, video games, and even hi-tech robots and all sorts of cool stuff for relatively cheap prices! I went for the first time with Alex and his "homestay brother", Zack, who is also from the U.S. and is attending high school here in Japan. First we ate lunch in a typical ramen shop (real Japanese ramen tastes way better than Cup 'O' Noodles!), then wandered into the popular, multi-story Bic Camera department store to gawk at video games, and lastly wasted a few 100 yen coins in the 6 story Sega arcade building trying to kick some Japanese businessman butt at Street Fighter and other fun games. :)

Hi little one, We miss you! You have a great holiday. Between the cute cow and the mass of people there is more activity than I have ever seen. Grandpa & Grandma
