A journal entry from: Cycle Mexico - Panama

23rd-27th October

Jaco is a larger, tourist town with a long beach popular with surfers. It's not so picturesque, and the town centre is quite busy. Fortunately we found a nice and quiet hotel a bit outside the centre.

Here we have been trying to get Shaun's front rack fixed, but without much success. In fact we were supposed to have left today but we left Shaun at a cycle shop to get fixed, but it has not been open for the past two days sowe haven't been able to pick him up and leave. Even worse they couldn't fix it, so we arranged to pick him up yesterday, but there was no-one there!! When they come back tomorrow they will get a piece of our minds......

Luckily we have been able to spend even more time at internet cafes to finally set a date and a venue, again with the invaluable help of Andy's family. Since we are having guests from both Sweden and England, and want them to stay in the area for a few days, it is necessary to book accomodation now too, so that has taken quite some effort. We were delighted to finally set the date and venue and celebrated with some more champagne!

From here we took a side trip to the Monteverde cloud forest national park for a few days and left the bikes behind. We returned after Monteverde to collect them.
