A journal entry from: Cycle Mexico - Panama

June 11th - 13th

Cycling from Playa Del Carmen we stopped for some lunch and a siesta at a ranch on the way. It was an extremely hot day, an hour cycling in the sun and you feel drained and weak. We sweated buckets and needed a long rest. The owner gave us a tip about a nice campsite nearby. We spent a couple of hours watching a tree filled with birds and iguanas at the ranch and then set off for the campsite.

The campsite was absolutely lovely, and we had a great spot under 5 palm trees right on the beach. Like nearly everywhere we have been so far in Mexico it was almost deserted (thanks to the swine flu!). We felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was great so we decided to stay for two nights.

 Km cycled 32, total = 115

What a beautiful place! No wonder you stayed two nights. Good luck with the cycling!
